Broken Compass Presents launched in 2023 as a boutique live music promotion team, with the goal of thinking outside of the box to bring regional and nationally touring acts to smaller stages in the Augusta area. The first event converted the general admission space in Southbound Smokehouse’s beer garden into a reserved seating listening room for acclaimed singer-songwriter Angie Aparo and support from an all-star local songwriter’s round consisting of Joe Stevenson, Shaun Piazza, & Will McCranie. Broken Compass Presents has gone on to produce concerts from Grammy Nominated Aaron Lee Tasjan, Wheatus, T. Hardy Morris, and up and coming acts like Squeaky Feet and Mike Miz.

Will has been a gigging musician for nearly 25 years and learned the world of event production and promotion through working with Gluestick Music, Adams Entertainment, and Friends With Benefits Productions. He’s been blessed with the opportunity to work on productions for artists including Umphrey’s McGee, The Avett Brothers, Jason Mraz, Ben Folds, Brothers Osborne, Gov’t Mule, The Flaming Lips, Galactic, Lil Uzi Vert, Ms. Sharon Jones, Kid Rock, Shooter Jennings, Chris Robinson Brotherhood, Greensky Bluegrass, Yonder Mountain String Band, Jon Pardi, and more…

Funk You have a long tradition of throwing the best Halloween Party in Augusta history. They’ll be at The Imperial Theatre on Halloween Night, featuring the legendary Gavin Hamilton. Yeet., an Augusta supergroup and winners of the inaugural Build The Band Benefit will open the show & the Godfather of Downtown Augusta, DJ Coco will be spinning in between live sets ALL. NIGHT. LONG.

For over a decade, Funk You has enchanted audiences with an unmistakably intoxicating blend of modern and vintage sounds. Comprised of eight kindred spirits, this close-knit troupe is driven by an unwavering passion for live performance and emboldened by their own exuberance - making them one of the most electrifying acts in contemporary funk.

The octet’s journey began in 2011 with the release of Funk You, quickly followed by its companion album Funk You II (released 2012). This early material laid the groundwork for the growth of a ravenous grassroots fan base in the southern US.

In 2016, Funk You released Apparitions, a crucial milestone that launched them onto the national scene via the project's single "She's So High". The song quickly  gained traction on regional radio and has since amassed over one million plays on Spotify.

This was just the beginning of an incredible adventure that saw them perform at some of the nation’s biggest festivals, including Sweetwater 420 Festival, Peach Music Festival, and Summer Camp Music Festival; whilst providing direct support for renowned acts like Gov't Mule, Galactic and Pigeons Playing Ping Pong.

yeet., features Augusta mainstays Matthew L Acosta, Charles Givens, Will McCranie, Bradley Morganstern, and Patrick Reagan. The group made their debut at Miller Theater on Friday June 14th for Build The Band, benefitting Augusta Habitat for Humanity and were honored to be crowned winners of the event.
